This splurge helps me eat healthier

It's worth every penny to me.

In a Nutshell
If you've been reading Wellness Wire for a while, you might remember that I struggle to consistently eat healthily and cook throughout the week. Well, meal delivery has been coming to my rescue lately. Allow me to wax poetic about these services below.

During my time venturing into the world of meal delivery services, I've tried a few different brands: Gardencup, Factor, and Trifecta. Each has its own pros (and cons).
🥗 Gardencup: Gardencup focuses on premium salad bowl delivery. I don't eat nearly as many greens or veggies as I should each week, so getting a bunch of pre-made salads was a great way to help me boost my intake. My favorite salads were the Chicken Bacon Cobb and the Asian Chopped with Honey Garlic Chicken. My only complaint is that I let a couple wither away in my fridge before I had the chance to eat them — but that's obviously entirely on me.
🥩 Factor: I love pre-made meals that just need to be heated up. (I have no shame in my microwave game.) I've seen Factor all over my social media feeds for months, and fellow Healthline editors love it, so I was super excited to try it out … and I was very pleasantly surprised. The first meal I ate was the grilled pork chop with butternut mash and Brussels sprouts. The portion was generous, the flavor was incredible, it heated up in about 5 minutes, and I felt great after. The other meals were just as yummy — no complaints here!
🍱 Trifecta: Trifecta is another meal delivery service that offers premade meals you heat up in the microwave. I really enjoyed the Romesco steak with guacamole and the flavorful huevos rancheros bites for breakfast. But I have two complaints about Trifecta: I burned my finger trying to take off the film after microwaving because the air was so hot. The meals also never heated up in the recommended timeframe. The company offers a wide variety of meals at a fair price point.
Prices range depending on the service, how many meals you order, and other factors. While I was lucky enough to try some of these for free through work, I've decided to pay for Gardencup and Factor out of my own pocket going forward.
Eating healthy is necessary, but I haven't always been consistent with it — I'm glad I found a way to do it that meets my needs without spending so much time in the kitchen each week.
