Checking in: Yep, you did that!

You've completed your alcohol reset, now what?
Alcohol Reset Challenge

Checking In: Yep, You Did That!

Congratulations! You completed the Alcohol Reset Challenge.

Maybe you didn't stay sober the entire month — that's OK. You still deserve recognition and congratulations for your efforts.

Now, it's time to reflect on what you learned over the month and how it can lead the way toward lasting change.

A few key pieces to explore:

  • How'd those boundaries work out for you? Did you need to adjust and readjust them, or did you find it pretty easy to stick to your limits?
  • What did you miss about drinking? Did you actually miss alcohol itself? Or just the companionship you associate with drinking?
  • How did a month of sobriety affect your well-being? Maybe you feel more energized and focused, and overall healthier in mind and body. If you noticed some loneliness and realized you miss socializing, not drinking, you might consider expanding your circle to other sober-curious people.

What if the challenge proved tougher than you expected?

If you experienced serious cravings that got in the way of the challenge, it may be worth connecting with a treatment professional to get more support with quitting or moderating your alcohol use.

A therapist or other mental health professional can also offer more guidance on getting comfortable with distressing emotions and finding helpful strategies to reduce and navigate stress in your life.

Going forward, you might choose to cut back — or cut out — alcohol entirely.

No matter what changes you make, we hope you're feeling proud of yourself — you've earned it.
