In a Nutshell
Over the next four Fridays (save for a special edition on Valentine's Day Eve), I'll be introducing one editor from the newsletter team so you can get to know us beyond our pictures. Whether you've been around for a while or you're a newer reader, we're happy you're here! It's about time we properly introduced ourselves.
Today, welcome Ginger Wojcik to the stage! Ginger has been with Healthline for 7.5 years. Her favorite topics to write about are skin care (and her dog — if that counts). She also manages our Nutrition Edition and Unpaused newsletters, where you can see more of her work.

Until next time,

Meet Ginger!
what's got us buzzing
Meet Ginger!
What are you looking forward to in 2026?
Becoming a parent! I'm petrified but so grateful to have the opportunity.
Describe your ideal weekend.
I wake up early because I went to bed early the night before and catch a pretty sunrise while drinking a strong cup of coffee in bed with my partner and the dog, who does not sleep with us but is allowed to cuddle sometimes. After a quick breakfast, we load the truck and head to the beach, where we see that the surf conditions are perfect. After throwing the ball for the dog, we put on our wetsuits and surf for a couple of hours. It's not too crowded, and we get lots of waves. After going home to eat more food and drink more coffee, we lounge around (probably take a nap) and recover from the surf until we feel like going out and about to hit some thrift stores or go to the farmer's market. We cook a big dinner at home that night and put a movie on afterwards. We're in bed by 9:30, so that we can do it all over again the next day.
I'm sure this will change completely after the baby comes, but this is what I would have told you in my "before life."
I could talk your ear off about …
Pregnancy! I'm fascinated by the whole thing. It's truly a wild ride, and while I don't find it particularly enjoyable, I am in awe of what the body is capable of.
If you could see into your future, what would you want to know (if anything)?
I would like to know whether I made the right career choice. Like, am I going to feel satisfied with the choices I made when I'm old? Or should I have been bolder?
What's your biggest pet peeve?
When people don't take good care of their pets.
