Recipe of the week
Turkey, avocado, and egg breakfast skillet
Yes, you can eat turkey for breakfast, too! This simple, flavorful dish features eggs, avocado, lime juice, chipotle chili in adobo sauce, salsa, and other seasonings. It contains a hefty 30 grams (g) of protein, and only 11 g of carbs and 353 calories per serving.
While this recipe calls for ground turkey, you can easily substitute it with your leftover turkey meat. Instead of cooking the turkey in the pan, shred and combine it with the onion powder, cumin, salsa, and chipotle in a bowl. Then, add it to the pan on medium-high heat. After this, you can proceed with cooking the eggs as directed. This should leave the turkey mixture warm enough without overcooking it.

How Healthline editors celebrate Black Friday — without shopping
"November is surf season where I live, so typically my family and I surf quite a bit over Thanksgiving weekend, especially on Black Friday when all of the cooking is done and there are more than enough leftovers to gorge on after we get back from the cold ocean." — Ginger Wojcik, newsletter editor
"Engaging with things I've already bought. I like to 100% complete video games I never played or only partially completed, or read a book I already have but never started." — Sarah Choi, associate editor
"Still technically consumption, my family goes to the movies! After the stress of Thanksgiving, sitting in a dark theater with nothing but a giant screen to focus on and a plot to take our minds off of everything else puts heightened senses at ease." — Sarah Matysiak, associate newsletter editor
"I like taking a walk in nature the day after Thanksgiving and starting or continuing a book I already own. As an avid reader and book collector, it can be hard to resist sales, but I'm trying not to buy anything from online giants on Black Friday (and much less in general) and instead wait until Small Biz Saturday to support a local Indie bookstore — if I shop at all that weekend." — Naomi Wilde, editor
"A tradition I want to start this year is donating things I no longer need to people in my community. I'm planning to put together a bunch of stuff just taking up space in my closets and cabinets and give them away to neighbors and folks in need who can actually put them to better use, either through thrift store donations or gifting them to neighbors on my local Buy Nothing Facebook group. Win win for all of us!" — Morgan Mandriota, newsletter editor
